On this occasion there was the delivery by the Association S. Peter the Apostle of Azzano Tenth, as leader of the Centre Booking One of Transport for Elderly and Disabled, the certificates of participation at the 3rd training course for volunteers organized by the Association HAVANA held in October.
The evening was also attended by a dozen volunteers from the Volunteer and
Solidarity "CORD", born a few months ago in Castions of Zoppola
but already working actively in the real city, that they could familiarize themselves with the opportunity to exchange opinions, knowledge, experiences and suggestions.
presence justified the participation of volunteers in this training course, but mainly because the Association "THE CORDON" has concluded an agreement with the Association of St. Peter for mutual help and competition in the operating area of \u200b\u200bthe Municipality of Zoppola.
Association "CORD" was inserted in the network with other associations in the area to exchange help, support tools and knowledge, but also not to isolate itself from the reality of volunteering in the region and "close in your backyard! "to be known and appreciated as much as possible and spread the mentality of the volunteers, the sensitivity to the problems of elderly, disabled, dependent and needy, however, in their territories. After delivery of the certificates
a welcome surprise for volunteers Zoppola: official communication from Mr. Gian Carlo Zancanaro, vice president of the Cooperative Credit Bank of Pordenone, delivery to the Association "CORD",
a car for the transportation of elderly or disabled, bought a total load of
BCC, Pordenone. The president of "THE CORDON" Pizzin Alfredo
thank you, on behalf of the volunteers who have welcomed the news
, the BCC, and the Association S. Apostle Peter who acted as intermediary and has a lot
contributed to achieving the goal.
The car, which joins the sedan already passed will be used by the volunteers of "THE
CORDON "to carry to and from medical facilities and welfare of the territory
of those requiring such services.
We hope that this availability is to spur new entries in the association of volunteers,
of new blood that nourishes the seedling of solidarity for others, we hope many, who want
join us if possible to bring a smile, a moment of serenity, a relief to those who have
problems and difficulties, giving only their availability for a while

Community Viva "Longing for Solidarity
Article by "living community" - July 2007
Want Solidarity was born in
Castions Zoppola of working in the social sector, to meet the needs of the population "weak" due to the availability of land and some "willing", a voluntary association that provides all those who need help: the elderly, disabled, not self-sufficient, and how many are in poor conditions.
There are other volunteer groups more or less "specialized" or focused on very limited areas, but from a deeply felt need in the local volunteers would like to promote the strengthening of human solidarity and planning of the availability of time and the generosity of the people, to help us all without territorial boundaries or class or ideological, religious and ethnic and absolutely not for profit.
The association was established on May 9 has been given the name "THE CORDON" means something that binds together, unite, unites the people who belong to a free exchange of ideas and relationships, in order to alleviate the as possible to the plight of people who need help, but most open and able to cooperate with other entities present in the region.
assistance provided by volunteers (we hope more and more) is completely spontaneous, free and disinterested, is motivated by generosity, empathy, willingness to listen and understand the problems of "weak" and their families.
E 'this is also an invitation to all people of good will to live this indescribable experience that enriches solidarity within and contributes to give meaning to their lives just "giving" a few minutes, offering the presence, friendship, sharing to those who need of affection and companionship.
This new association is proposed with its volunteers to make a small contribution to improving the "quality" of life to these people in distress (illness, disability, isolation, loneliness, old age ,...)
If we let it take root and flourish the spirit of solidarity inherent in all of us, will be built around each new dawn of hope, the elderly, the disabled, the underprivileged will see a smiling tomorrow, to look with serene face, without fear to wake up one morning with the desire to close his eyes.
