The Voluntary Association "The Cordon" work in the field of social
born in Castions of Zoppola (PN) in May 2007 for a precise and felt needs of the local volunteers to promote the strengthening of human solidarity and better organize the availability time, effort and generosity of many people.
E 'was built by people who already worked at the Day Centre for Seniors Hall and at the nursing home Castions to join forces and interact in a communion of ideals and purposes.
Its activities are mainly carried out currently at elderly care facilities in the City such as nursing home assistants Castions to the aid of specialized tasks and entertainment and leisure, support for transportation, companionship for the elderly ; other policy areas, for now sketched, are the home entertainment and companionship for elderly and disabled people, already in the transport, with vehicles in municipal or private loan, people not self-sufficient in the structures responsible for carrying out specific tests or visits. The assistance offered by the volunteers is free, spontaneous and disinterested, motivated by generosity and willingness to listen and understand the problems of the elderly and their families.
It 'an experience that enriches the human relationships among volunteers and older people and involving their families and all who share this reality.
The association of a purely voluntary and free, non-political non-partisan, not dependent on factors of ideological, religious and ethnic and non-profit organization. We invite people of good will to live with us this indescribable experience of solidarity that enriches and helps to give meaning to life "by giving" some time during the day, offering the presence to those who need love and companionship. The Cordon is
attention to the lives and quality thereof, ability to listen, to give strength and keep (maintain, restore) human relationships, ability to enter into a relationship with those in need and their families.
Operating in the social sector, to meet the needs population of "weak" due to the availability of land and some generous "willing", is a volunteer association that provides all those who need help: the elderly, disabled, not self-sufficient, and many others are in poor conditions.
There are other volunteer groups more or less "specialized" or focused on very limited areas, but from a deeply felt need in the local volunteers would like to promote the strengthening of human solidarity and to better organize the availability of time and the generosity of the people who will help everybody without territorial boundaries or class or nature ideological, religious and ethnic and absolutely not for profit. The association was established on May 9 has been given the name "THE CORDON" means something that binds together, unite, unites the people for a free exchange of ideas and relationships as much as possible in order to alleviate the plight of human weaknesses but also open and to collaborate with other companies working in the region.
The assistance offered by volunteers, we hope that more and more, is completely spontaneous, free and disinterested, motivated by generosity, empathy, willingness to listen and understand the problems of "weak" and their families. Volunteering in
a world that isolates them and is often indifferent to what's going on, highlights the generosity totally free of people who find their fulfillment in the "donate" part of free time to the next.
It 's definitely an experience that enriches the human relationships between the volunteers themselves who share a common purpose and involving family members and those participating in the reality of social assistance.
E 'this is also an invitation to all people of good will to live this indescribable experience that enriches solidarity within and contributes to give meaning to their lives just "giving" a few minutes, offering the presence friendship, sharing to those who need of affection and companionship.
How many of us do not have a grandfather or a relative or friend who has problems?
do not think the "big" problems, we consider the "problemini" every day: eat, look after the cleanliness of the person, move, drink a glass of water, ... Sounds easy!
If we add up other difficulties such as transportation to a hospital visit for a session of physiotherapy, for any other task, even worse if the person is confined to a wheelchair, it is difficult to reconcile work or just the home run (see expenditure ). If anyone could help, give a hand ...
no avail to hide or ignore it: reality exists and is present for all.
This new association is proposed with its volunteers to make a small contribution to improving the "quality" of life to these friends in need (sickness, disability, isolation, loneliness, old age, ...)
The "weak" has need to be surrounded by life to feel alive, they need to participate in community activities, not to be condemned to solitude, to spend time in front of a TV. The elderly, the disabled, the needy no longer continue to live but merely survive impediamolo! It 'our task, as far as possible, make what is life: good, meaningful, dignified and worthy of being lived.
If we let it take root and flourish the spirit of solidarity inherent in each of us will be built around each of us a new dawn of hope, the elderly, the disabled, the underprivileged will see a smiling tomorrow, to look with serene face, without fear of waking up one morning with the desire to close his eyes.
